During the Karu Eastern Frontier Expedition, you will see a wonderful overview of the wilderness of eastern Finland and the Nordic midsummer night. You will walk across broad, uninhabited expanses and see the best of the lively and pure summer nature. The expedition will pass through land inside and outside natural parks. The many clean watercourses allow you to fish and swim in natural water.
Karu Spring Canoeing Expedition
Karu’s guides will take you on a journey to the Finnish lake district – a unique and partly protected region. The narrow rivers that wind through the wilderness and the dark lakes offer a breathtakingly beautiful setting for canoeing. Travelling in a canoe lets you slip through the water silently and truly be part of nature. On the Karu Canoeing Expedition, you can enjoy the waking spring in all of their beauty, and also learn important bushcraft skills
Karu Bushcraft Basic
Karu Bushcraft Basic takes place in the North Karelia region in eastern Finland. This one-week course teaches you comprehensive bushcraft skills under the guidance of professional and clear instructors. The course teaches you skills to get around independently in wild environments and develop your skills on your own.

The Karu Eastern Frontier Arctic Expedition is an unforgettable experience. You will sleep outdoors under the stars and, where possible, in wilderness huts. You will walk on unbroken snow in snowshoes or glide across it on skis. The deep dark of winter and the quiet wilderness create a truly magical setting that charms even the most experienced outdoor enthusiasts.
Karu Artic Bushcraft
On the Karu Arctic Bushcraft course, you will learn about winter equipment, how to move around in the wilderness in winter, and how to survive dangerous winter situations. You will learn about temporary shelter suitable for winter conditions, and how to conserve energy when staying outdoors in winter. You will also go ice fishing and prepare food over an open fire. You can hike through snowy forest with snowshoes or skis, and take a ride on a dog sled.
